Global structured finance issuance is currently $15 TN in outstanding's, yet the market for education in this sector is dramatically underserved. Glossed over in academic finance programs, structured finance education is mainly provided by institutions that are also market players. For buyside investors, whose professional performance depends on consistent access to high quality information, learning opportunities tend to be haphazard. Too often, the lesson comes after the test.
As an independent association representing investors, FIIN is committed to providing leading structured finance content that is unbiased, credible and informative. To that end, FIIN established the FIIN Education Committee, led by practitioners with extensive in-sector training experience. The Education Committee works collaboratively with FIIN subject matter task forces and other FIIN committees, to produce practical, forward-looking programming for investors of all levels of experience, delivered in a variety of interactive and self-study formats.
